ABOUT ME
-Lucy Guan-
Sophomore At Burr and Burton Academy
Born and raised in Beijing, came to the United States in sixth grade. Studied in Chicago for three years of middle school and came to BBA for high school.
Interested in photography and enjoys the production process of filmmaking. Has an experience with adobe premiere, photoshop, and illustrator. Went to Northwestern University's summer program for both 7th grade and 8th grade, took a Fictional writing crouse and a 3D design crouse. ​
WHY CINEMA???
I choose this class because I'm interested in the production process of the movies, though I never had a chance to participate in one. I hope that this class can give me an opportunity to produce movies and learning about the production process of film-making, because I'm looking in to this as my possible future career if I really like it.

WHAT DOES LUCY DO ALL DAY?
If I had the time, I would put it into drawing. I really enjoy drawing or sketching, it clams me down and it helps me to relive stress from school work. Beside drawing, I love taking photos when ever I have a chance. the goal for me its just to capture whatever that I liked, or something that i am wanting to remember. I also watching a lot of movies and shows. I don't care about the language nor the genre of movies and shows, but at the same time i have pretty high standards if i'm watching it. for me to watch something, first the plot needs to good; second,the atmosphere and aesthetic of the film has to be the type that i like(i care a lot about lighting!) ; finally, the music or the main theme needs to drag me into it, if then i'm not watching it. But on special occasions I would watch a movie if i liked the actor in it! :)
